Bright and dark solitons in a photonic nonlinear quantum walk: lessons from the continuum
We propose a nonlinear quantum walk model inspired in a photonic implementation in which the polarization state of the light field plays the role of the coin-qubit. In particular, we take profit of the nonlinear polarization rotation occurring in optical

Based on the generalized model of the cubic-quintic Gross-Pitaevskii equation with polytropic approximation, we novelly utilize an F-expansion method to identify bright soliton dynamics of systems modelled by the cubic-quintic Gross-Pitaevskii with ...

Self‐Creation of Accelerated Temporal Mirrors
In optics, temporal mirrors can be realized using solitons ‐ stable refractive index barriers propagating at the speed of light that can be probed by weak waves reflecting off the barrier. This approach offers an alternative method for achieving temporal

Generalizing quantum chromodynamics (QCD) from three to arbitrarily many color degrees of freedom suggests that baryons can be described as solitons in an effective meson theory whose interaction strength decreases with the number of colors. The exact form of that theory is unknown, but at low energies chiral symmetry and its breaking are considered as

The dynamical model on 3+1 dimensional spacetime admitting soliton solutions is discussed. The proposal soliton is localized in the vicinity of a closed contour, which could be linked and/or knotted. The topological charge is Hopf invariant. Some applications in realistic physical systems are indicated.
