Construction of multi-solitons for the energy-critical wave equation in dimension 5

open access: yes, 2015
We construct 2-solitons of any speed of the focusing energy-critical nonlinear wave equation in dimension 5. The existence result also holds for the case of K-solitons, for any K >2, assuming that the speeds are collinear.

Ultra‐Flat Watt‐Level All‐Fiber Supercontinuum Generation With 3‐dB Spectral Bandwidth Spanning From 414 to 1860 nm

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 7, 13 April 2026.
We experimentally achieve an ultraflat, 4.35‐W all‐fiber supercontinuum spanning from 414 to 1860 nm (3‐dB bandwidth). To our knowledge, this represents the broadest octave‐spanning, visible‐to‐NIR, ultraflat SC source ever reported, which also exhibits maximal visible band coverage. ABSTRACT We propose a method for generating ultraflat supercontinuum (

Split and overlapped binary solitons in optical lattices

open access: yes, 2015
We analyze the energetic and dynamical properties of bright-bright (BB) soliton pairs in a binary mixture of Bose-Einstein condensates subjected to the action of a combined optical lattice, acting as an external potential for the first species, while ...

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Soliton–mean flow interaction problem for a non-convex system with quadratic-cubic nonlinearity in the stratified fluid

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
The interaction problem between solitons and mean flows including the dispersive shock wave, rarefaction wave, kink and contact dispersive shock wave, is discussed in the framework of the Gardner equation, a generic non-convex mathematical model ...

Bright solitons and soliton trains in a fermion-fermion mixture

open access: yes, 2006
We use a time-dependent dynamical mean-field-hydrodynamic model to predict and study bright solitons in a degenerate fermion-fermion mixture in a quasi-one-dimensional cigar-shaped geometry using variational and numerical methods.

Investigating the Origin of Topological‐Hall‐Like Resistivity in Zn‐Doped Mn2Sb Ferrimagnet

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Skyrmions and other chiral spin textures have been extensively studied as potential building blocks for novel spintronic devices. Hall‐resistivity anomalies that deviate from magnetization scaling, known as the topological Hall effect, have been widely employed as evidence for the presence of chiral spin textures in magnetic materials. However,

Fission of quasi-static dissipative solitons in chiral nematics

open access: yesGiant
Dissipative solitons in liquid crystals (LCs) are represented by three-dimensional solitary waves of director deformation called directrons. The only one exception on the quasi-static counterparts of directrons has ever been observed in achiral nematics.
