Solitons in Interaction [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1987
Several new nonlinear systems are given which are completely integrable. These systems can be considered as flows describing the self-interaction of single solitons in multisoliton fields. The construction of action variables, recursion operators, bi-hamiltonian formulation and the like is performed for these nonlinear systems.

Training‐Domain Gaps in Data‐Driven Ocean Color Algorithms

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract Bio‐optical algorithms serve a critical role, enabling satellite‐based monitoring of the global ocean and its ecosystems. These largely empirical algorithms invert satellite measurements of water leaving reflectance (“ocean color”) to biogeochemical parameters such as chlorophyll a, but often fail to generalize beyond their training data ...

Many body effects in one-dimensional attractive Bose gases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis we investigate the properties of ultra-cold quantum gases in reduced dimension and the effects of harmonic confinement on soliton-like properties.

Rigidity Characterizations of Conformal Solitons

open access: yesMathematics
We study the rigidity of conformal solitons, give a sufficient and necessary condition that guarantees that every closed conformal soliton is gradient conformal soliton, and prove that complete conformal solitons with a nonpositive Ricci curvature must ...

Plasma Stability in Turbulent Magnetic Flux Ropes Downstream of a Collisionless Shock

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract How pre‐existing solar wind turbulence, and coherent structures such as magnetic flux ropes within it, influence the transition of plasma across a shock is still poorly understood. Recently, in situ observations from the Earth's magnetosheath have been used to study plasma stability against ion kinetic instabilities. In the turbulent flow, the

Solitons in optical fibers : fundamentals and applications /

open access: yes, 2006
Solitons are waves that retain their form through obstacle and distance. Solitons can be found in hydrodynamics, nonlinear optics, plasma physics, and biology.

Non-topological solitons and quasi-solitons

open access: yesReports on Progress in Physics
Abstract Solitons in relativistic field theories are not necessarily topologically charged. In particular, non-topological solitons—known as Q-balls—arise naturally in nonlinear field theories endowed with attractive interactions and internal symmetries.

High‐Energy Topological Edge States and Strain‐Induced Multiple Flat Bands in a Honeycomb Lattice

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 11, 13 June 2026.
This work proposes a novel anti‐twig edge in the honeycomb lattice that supports two symmetric high‐energy edge states. Moreover, the suppression or enhancement of the high‐energy edge state is observed, and strain‐induced multiple flat bands are produced.
