Accelerating solitons [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2020
We present the saddle-point approximation for the effective Hamiltonian of the quantum kink in two-dimensional linear sigma models to all orders in the time-derivative expansion. We show how the effective Hamiltonian can be used to obtain semiclassical soliton form factors, valid at momentum transfers of order the soliton mass.

Mathematical methods for construction new soliton solutions of Radhakrishnan-Kundu Lakshmanan equation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
In this paper, the modified simple equation method and the extended simplest equation method are applied to secure optical solitons and other solutions for Radhakrishnan-Kundu Lakshmanan equation.

Phase-driven interaction of widely separated nonlinear Schr\"odinger solitons

open access: yes, 2011
We show that, for the 1d cubic NLS equation, widely separated equal amplitude in-phase solitons attract and opposite-phase solitons repel. Our result gives an exact description of the evolution of the two solitons valid until the solitons have moved a ...

Bright-dark solitons and their collisions in mixed N-coupled nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Mixed type (bright-dark) soliton solutions of the integrable N-coupled nonlinear Schr{\"o}dinger (CNLS) equations with mixed signs of focusing and defocusing type nonlinearity coefficients are obtained by using Hirota's bilinearization method. Generally,

Symmetry-protected solitons and bulk-boundary correspondence in generalized Jackiw–Rebbi models

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
We investigate the roles of symmetry and bulk-boundary correspondence in characterizing topological edge states in generalized Jackiw–Rebbi (JR) models.

Nonlocal two-color vector dark solitons

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
In this paper, vector dark solitons with two colors are demonstrated in nonlocal nonlinear Kerr medium. Using Lagrangian method and rectangular profile of nonlocal response of the media, solutions of the solitons are obtained analytically.

Solitons supported by complex PT symmetric Gaussian potentials

open access: yes, 2011
The existence and stability of fundamental, dipole, and tripole solitons in Kerr nonlinear media with parity-time symmetric Gaussian complex potentials are reported.

Structures solitons in birefringent fibers with Kerr and non-local laws of refractive index using improved modified extended tanh-function method

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
In this article, the improved modified extended tanh-function method is used to construct new structure of highly dispersive optical solitons for nonlinear Schrödinger equation in birefringent fibers with Kerr law and non-local law of refractive index ...

A Potential of Incoherent Attraction Between Multidimensional Solitons

open access: yes, 1998
We obtain analytical expressions for an effective potential of interaction between two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D) solitons (including the case of 2D vortex solitons) belonging to two different modes which are incoherently coupled by cross-phase ...

Rigidity of asymptotically conical shrinking gradient Ricci solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We show that if two gradient Ricci solitons are asymptotic along some end of each to the same regular cone, then the soliton metrics must be isometric on some neighborhoods of infinity of these ends. Our theorem imposes no restrictions on the behavior of
