Designing dispersion- and mode-area-decreasing holey fibers for soliton compression [PDF]
We investigate numerically the adiabatic compression of solitons at 1.55 µm in holey fibers which exhibit simultaneously decreasing dispersion and effective mode area.

Soliton collisions in soft magnetic nanotube with uniaxial anisotropy
The structure of stable magnetic solitons of various orders in soft magnetic nanotube with uniaxial magnetic anisotropy has been studied using numerical simulation. Solitons of even order are immobile in axially applied magnetic field.

Optical limiting in a nanomaterial‐polymer saturable absorber is harnessed as a functional intracavity degree of freedom, where pump‐controlled photothermal loss continuously reshapes the gain spectrum of rare‐earth ions, enabling non‐mechanical spectral engineering in an ultrafast fiber laser.

Solitons on lattices and curved space-time [PDF]
This thesis is concerned with solitons (solutions of certain nonlinear partial differential equations) in certain cases when the underlying space is either a lattice or curved. Chapter 2 of the thesis is concerned with the outcome of collisions between a

Four‐Dimensional pp‐Wave Lie Groups and Harmonic Curvature
ABSTRACT We determine all four‐dimensional Lie groups which have harmonic curvature. In parallel, a description of four‐dimensional pp‐wave Lie groups is obtained.

Many dissipative optical systems support patterns. Dissipative solitons are generally found where a pattern coexists with a stable unpatterned state. We consider such phenomena in driven optical cavities containing a nonlinear medium (cavity solitons ...

Quantum lump dynamics on the two-sphere [PDF]
It is well known that the low-energy classical dynamics of solitons of Bogomol'nyi type is well approximated by geodesic motion in M_n, the moduli space of static n-solitons.

Unveiling New Perspectives on the Hirota–Maccari System With Multiplicative White Noise
ABSTRACT In this study, we delve into the stochastic Hirota–Maccari system, which is subjected to multiplicative noise according to the Itô sense. The stochastic Hirota–Maccari system is significant for its ability to accurately model how stochastic affects nonlinear wave propagation, providing valuable insights into complex systems like fluid dynamics

Pure-high-even-order dispersion bound solitons complexes in ultra-fast fiber lasers
Temporal solitons have been the focus of much research due to their fascinating physical properties. These solitons can form bound states, which are fundamentally crucial modes in fiber laser and present striking analogies with their matter molecules ...

This paper recovers stationary optical solitons for the perturbed Radhakrishnan–Kundu–Lakshmanan equation with nonlinear chromatic dispersion. There are eight approaches that have been implemented to recover these solitons. A full spectrum of solitons is
