On Lax pairs and matrix extended simple Toda systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2005, Issue 17, Page 2735-2747, 2005., 2005
A A1 Toda system is extended via Lax pair formulations in order to probe noncommutative variables extensions. Systems, some solvable, are built using matrix generalizations.

Geometrical and topological foundations of theoretical physics: from gauge theories to string program

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 34, Page 1777-1836, 2004., 2004
We study the role of geometrical and topological concepts in the recent developments of theoretical physics, notably in non‐Abelian gauge theories and superstring theory, and further we show the great significance of these concepts for a deeper understanding of the dynamical laws of physics.

Functional methods for false-vacuum decay in real time

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We present the calculation of the Feynman path integral in real time for tunneling in quantum mechanics and field theory, including the first quantum corrections.

O(N) invariance of the multi-field bounce

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
In his 1977 paper on vacuum decay in field theory: The Fate of the False Vacuum, Coleman considered the problem of a single scalar field and assumed that the minimum action tunnelling field configuration, the bounce, is invariant under O(4) rotations in ...

Skyrmions from calorons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We derive a one-parameter family of gauged Skyrme models from Yang-Mills theory on S 1 × ℝ3, in which skyrmions are well-approximated by calorons and monopoles.

Monopoles and Instantons in String Theory [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev. D46 (1992) 4526-4532, 1992
In recent work, several classes of solitonic solutions of string theory with higher-membrane structure have been obtained. These solutions can be classified according to the symmetry possessed by the solitons in the subspace of the spacetime transverse to the membrane.

Decay of I-ball/oscillon in classical field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
I-balls/oscillons are long-lived and spatially localized solutions of real scalar fields. They are produced in various contexts of the early universe in, such as, the inflaton evolution and the axion evolution.

Topological Soliton with Nonzero Hopf Invariant in Yang-Mills-Higgs Model [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Lett. B 739, 83 (2014), 2014
We propose a topological soliton or instanton solution with nonzero Hopf invariant to the 3+1D non-Abelian gauge theory coupled with scalar fields. This solution, which we call Hopf soliton, represents a spacetime event that makes a $2\pi$ rotation of the monopole. Although the action of this Hopf soliton is logarithmically divergent, it may still give

Incarnations of Instantons [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys.B885:493-504,2014, 2013
Yang-Mills instantons in a pure Yang-Mills theory in four Euclidean space can be promoted to particle-like topological solitons in d=4+1 dimensional space-time. When coupled to Higgs fields, they transform themselves in the Higgs phase into Skyrmions, lumps and sine-Gordon kinks, with trapped inside a non-Abelian domain wall, non-Abelian vortex and ...

Generalization of instanton-induced inflation and dynamical compactification

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
It was shown that Yang-Mills instantons on an internal space can trigger the expansion of our four-dimensional universe as well as the dynamical compactification of the internal space.
