Rational determination of real‐life UV exposure across latitudes: An extended Diffey‐based model integrating behavioural factors

This study models real‐life UVB and UVA exposure across latitudes and seasons using an extended Diffey framework with behavioural corrections. Findings reveal predictable dose patterns and support pragmatic SPF and UVA‐PF caps, offering a quantitative basis for realistic photoprotection and regulatory discussion.

In this study, the seasonal variations of the EEJ longitudinal profiles were examined based on the full CHAMP satellite magnetic measurements from 2001 to 2010. A total of 7537 satellite noon-time passes across the magnetic dip-equator were analyzed.
