Observation of equatorial plasma bubbles by the airglow imager on ISS-IMAP
Using 630 nm airglow data observed by an airglow imager on the International Space Station (ISS), the occurrence of equatorial plasma bubbles (EPBs) is studied.

Abstract We investigate the nighttime equatorial ionosphere during the 19 January 2026 geomagnetic storm using Global‐scale Observations of the Limb and Disk OI 135.6 nm observations and ground‐based GPS Total Electron Content. The observations reveal a pronounced longitudinal asymmetry in the post‐sunset equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA).

A GEO‐LEO Imager Data Set for Characterizing Rapid Changes of Global Aerosol Properties
Abstract Aerosols, the ubiquitous small particulates in our atmosphere, have climate, air quality, and/or other impacts far from their original sources. The Dark Target Algorithm (DTA), originally developed for retrieving aerosol properties from satellite imagers in Low‐Earth Orbit (LEO), has been ported to imagers in Geostationary (GEO) orbit. Using a

Structure, Propagation and Variability of the 5‐Day Rossby‐Haurwitz Wave
Abstract The 5‐day wave is the gravest free Rossby mode predicted by the Laplace shallow water equations, with a latitudinally symmetric, zonal wavenumber one theoretical structure in geopotential extending from pole to pole. It propagates westward along the equator at about 98 m s−1 ${\mathrm{s}}^{-1}$ and was first observed in surface pressure data ...

Comparison of Magnesium II core-to-wing ratio observations during solar minimum 23/24
The MgII index is an important proxy for solar activity; in particular it correlates well with the EUV which is important for understanding the upper atmosphere. We compare the measurements from all of the instruments making daily measurements during the

Study of paraboloidal optical concentrator by ray-tracing method: Results
This paper presents results obtained by using a software tool (Ray-Tracer), which we developed in order to simulate small size paraboloidal concentrator. The simulations were carried out for the days corresponding to equinox and solstice moments.

The dependence of the [FUV-MUV] colour on solar cycle
Solar UV variability is extremely relevant for the stratospheric ozone. It has an impact on Earth’s atmospheric structure and dynamics through radiative heating and ozone photochemistry.
