Soluble CD163

Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 2011
CD163 is an endocytic receptor for haptoglobin-hemoglobin complexes and is expressed solely on macrophages and monocytes. As a result of ectodomain shedding, the extracellular portion of CD163 circulates in blood as a soluble protein (sCD163) at 0.7-3.9 mg/l in healthy individuals.

Solubility and Partitioning IX: Solubility of Hydantoins in Water

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1988
An expression for estimating the aqueous solubility of weak electrolytes under different conditions of temperature and pH has been proposed in a previous publication. The expression, based on the additivity of free energy, separates solubility into three independent contributions.

Solubility and partitioning I: Solubility of nonelectrolytes in water

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1980
On the basis of a semiempirical analysis, an equation was obtained that enables the estimation of the aqueous solubility of either liquid or crystalline organic nonelectrolytes: (see formula in text) where log PC and delta Sf are estimated from the chemical structure and MP is either known or experimentally determined.

Solubility and Partitioning VII: Solubility of Barbiturates in Water

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1987
The solubility equation of Yalkowsky was used to estimate the aqueous solubility of 33 barbiturates in the temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees C. The equation was extended by adding a term which accounts for the effect of pH on the solubility of the drug.

Solubility behavior of an organic soluble polyimide

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1990
AbstractThe solubility behavior of an organic soluble polyimide synthesized from 3,3′,4,4′‐benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride and 2,3,5,6‐tetramethyl‐p‐phenylene diamine in about 60 liquids was investigated via solubility experiments. These results were put into a computer program to obtain a three‐dimensional representation of the polymer ...

Solubility of sparingly-soluble electrolytes–a new approach

Analytical Methods, 2010
The technique of solid titration was developed to explore the true solution equilibria for complex solids and solutions, and in particular for biominerals. It has been shown that the conventional method of equilibration over a large excess of solid is inappropriate for the investigation of solubility when there is incongruent dissolution.

Solubility and secretability

Current Opinion in Biotechnology, 1993
The solubility and secretability of proteins can often be affected by extremely small changes in their primary structure. Attempts to determine empirical rules for the alteration of protein structure to improve either of these characteristics have met with only partial success.
