Interleukin-15, IL-15 Receptor-Alpha, and Obesity: Concordance of Laboratory Animal and Human Genetic Studies

open access: yesJournal of Obesity, 2011

Associations of Cerebrospinal Fluid Orexin‐A, Alzheimer Disease Biomarkers, and Cognitive Performance

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 12, Issue 4, Page 780-791, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) orexin‐A has been suggested to be a biomarker of Alzheimer disease (AD). In both cognitively unimpaired healthy older adults and individuals with symptomatic AD, CSF orexin‐A is positively associated with CSF Aβ42, p‐tau181, and total tau (t‐tau) concentrations.

A streamlined, general approach for computing ligand binding free energies and its application to GPCR-bound cholesterol [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
The theory of receptor-ligand binding equilibria has long been well-established in biochemistry, and was primarily constructed to describe dilute aqueous solutions. Accordingly, few computational approaches have been developed for making quantitative predictions of binding probabilities in environments other than dilute isotropic solution.

Combined Systemic Immunotherapy and Intrathecal Dexamethasone in Febrile Infection Related Epilepsy Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 12, Issue 4, Page 871-875, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Febrile infection related epilepsy syndrome (FIRES) is a rare presentation of refractory status epilepticus with immune dysregulation as a potential pathologic mechanism. Despite promising results from second‐line immunomodulators, approximately 30% remain refractory to treatment.

Phase 1, First‐In‐Human, Single‐/Multiple‐Ascending Dose Study of Iluzanebart in Healthy Volunteers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of iluzanebart, a fully human monoclonal antibody TREM2 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2) agonist, after single‐ (SAD) and multiple‐ascending‐dose (MAD) administration.

Effects of Pharmacologic and Nonpharmacologic Interventions for the Management of Sleep Problems in People With Fibromyalgia: Systematic Review and Network Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue. Almost everyone with fibromyalgia has sleep problems. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of current interventions for the management of fibromyalgia‐related sleep problems.
