Soluble interleukin-2 receptors in retinal vasculitis

Current Eye Research, 1992
Soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) levels were measured in the serum of 27 patients with retinal vasculitis, 16 with vasculitis purely isolated to the eye (RV) and 11 with vasculitis associated with a systemic inflammatory disease (RV+SID). Levels of sIL-2R were statistically significantly increased (mu 986, SD 845 U/ml, p = 0.013) only in the RV ...

Serum Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptor in Eosinophilia

Acta Haematologica, 2002
The relationship between soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) levels and clinical characteristics was evaluated in patients with eosinophilia. Thirty-eight out of 60 patients showed sIL-2R levels of more than 800 U/ml. In these patients, sIL-2R was closely related to the eosinophil count, but not the IgE level.

Serum Interleukin-2 and Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptor in Gestrational Trophoblastic Diseases

Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, 1996
To investigate serum interleukin-2 (IL-2) and soluble interleukin-2 receptor (SIL-2) levels in gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTD).Sixty-six patients with GTDs and 23 first-trimester healthy pregnant women (controls) participated in this study.

Soluble interleukin-2 receptor in cancer

Frontiers in Bioscience, 2004
Levels of serum sIL-2R (soluble interleukin-2 receptor) reflect the total amount of activated T lymphocytes in tumor infiltrating lymphocytes of cancer tissues and metastatic organs, because a part of alpha-chain of IL-2R is released into the bloodstream on the attachment of IL-2 (interleukin-2) to its specific IL-2R membrane.

The Impact of Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptor as a Biomarker of Delirium

Psychosomatics, 2014
Biomarkers might help to predict the emergence of delirium. Advance warning of the threats of this condition could potentially reduce significant morbidity, mortality, and costs of hospitalizing patients. Our prospective study investigates for the first time the impact of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) as a biomarker of delirium after cardiac ...

Serum Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptor in Patients with Glomerulonephritis

American Journal of Nephrology, 1990
Serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) concentrations were determined using the ELISA method in 55 cases of glomerulonephritis. These patients can be classified as 29 cases of IgA nephropathy, 10 cases of membranous glomerulonephritis and 16 cases of mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis.

SOLUBLE INTERLEUKIN-2 RECEPTOR IN CHILDREN WITH REFLUX NEPHROPATHY

Journal of Urology, 1998
Serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor level is a sensitive and quantitative marker of lymphocyte activation. We determined levels of serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor in children with reflux nephropathy to evaluate its clinical significance in the prediction for the progression of renal injuries.Serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor values were ...

Serum Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptor in Colorectal Cancer

Acta Oncologica, 1994
Preoperative serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) levels were measured in patients with colorectal cancer, and correlated with various factors as stage, lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis, grade, serum CEA and IAP (immunosuppressive acidic protein). The levels of serum soluble IL-2R in Dukes stage C were significantly higher than in normal

Soluble Interleukin-2 Receptors in Chronic Renal Failure

American Journal of Nephrology, 1991
A depression of the general immune response in uremia is well documented, and hemodialyzed (HD) patients present deficient interleukin-2 (IL2) secretion. Since soluble IL2 receptors (SIL2R) could affect the immune response through interaction with circulating immune cells, we studied the potential relationship between SIL2R concentration and lymphocyte

Increased soluble interleukin 2 receptor levels in schizophrenia

Schizophrenia Research, 1998
Immunological mechanisms have been implicated in schizophrenia, but laboratory results have been variable. We evaluated soluble interleukin 2 receptor (sIL2R alpha) levels in sera of Irish patients with schizophrenia. Twenty-seven patients, 12 females and 15 males, with schizophrenia or schizophreniform psychosis, were sampled, along with 32 controls ...
