Soluble CSF interleukin 2 receptor as indicator of neurosarcoidosis
Journal of Neurology, 2010Neurosarcoidosis (NS) represents an important differential diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). However, thus far no reliable laboratory marker of neurosarcoidosis exists. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of soluble interleukin 2 receptor (sIL2-R) distinguish NS and other inflammatory disorders of ...

Soluble interleukin‐2 receptor: is there a role in ischaemic cardiomyopathy?
European Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2003We believe that sIL-2R levels should be regarded as markers of LV dysfunction independently from its cause. Moreover, we believe that in the current effort to understand and appraise fully the role of inflammatory mechanism in cardiac remodelling and failure, sIL-2R levels should be determined in the active phases of the disease when LV dysfunction ...

Elevated Levels of Soluble Interleukin 2 Receptors in Schizophrenia
Archives of General Psychiatry, 1989To the Editor — Immunologic factors have been implicated in both the cause Levels of soluble interleukin 2 (IL-2) receptor in the serum of schizophrenic patients and healthy controls. Soluble IL-2 receptors were measured by a sandwich enzymelinked immunosorbent assay as previously described.

Increased Serum Levels of Interleukin‐2 and Soluble Interleukin‐2 Receptor in Celiac Disease
Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 1991SummaryIgA anti‐gliadin antibodies (AGA), interleukin‐2 (IL‐2), and soluble interleukin‐2 receptor (sIL‐2R) were analyzed in serum from 28 children with symptoms of celiac disease and villous atrophy in at least their first small bowel biopsy. We also assayed IL‐2 and sIL‐2R in 45 healthy children and IgA anti‐gliadin antibodies in 145 healthy children.

Pathology, 1991
Following activation in vitro, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) express cell-associated interleukin-2 receptors (IL2R). The present study was undertaken to define the proportion of T lymphocyte subsets that express the IL2R (CD25 antigen) upon different mitogenic stimulation.

American Review of Respiratory Disease, 1993
Abstract Interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) expression on bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) cells was studied in patients with sarcoidosis using immune cytochemistry and cytometric analysis. A low percentage of alveolar lymphocytes (AL) was found positive for IL-2R, with 7% in patients with impaired lung function and 6% in patients with normal

Serum interleukin‐2 and soluble interleukin‐2 receptor levels in generalized social phobia
Anxiety, 1994AbstractAlterations in immune function have been described in a variety of psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and depression; however, we do not know of any research involving social phobia and the immune system. This preliminary study explores the relationship between social phobia and two well‐established immune parameters, serum ...

Soluble interleukin-2 receptor in stage I–III melanoma
Cytokine, 2006The aim of the present study was to assess the prognostic value of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) serum levels in stage I-III melanoma patients. The levels of sIL-2R were determined using an enzyme immunometric test kit in 329 patients affected by malignant melanoma (MM) from 1995 to 2004.
