Background: The combination of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and atrial fibrillation (AF) is still a thorny problem in the clinic. At present, there are few reports on the role of soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) in AF after AMI.

Coronary Artery Disease, 2020
Background Soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 (sST2) is the receptor of interleukin (IL)-33. We hypothesized the IL-33/ST2 pathway may be closely related to the progression of coronary atherosclerotic lesions. Methods We analyzed 262 patients, including 63 with stable ...

Several mechanisms play a role in the development of pneumonia after inhalation injury. Our aim was to analyze whether higher concentrations of inflammatory markers or of biomarkers of epithelial injury are associated with a higher incidence of pneumonia in patients with inhalation injury.Secondary analysis of a single-center prospective observational ...

OUTCOMES PREDICTION IN CHRONIC HEART FAILURE USING SOLUBLE SUPPRESSION OF TUMORIGENICITY 2

Plasma Soluble Suppression of Tumorigenicity-2 Level with Colchicine in Coronary Artery Disease
International Journal of Pharmaceutical Quality AssuranceRecently, suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (ST2) of the interleukin 1 receptor family has become an important biomarker in cardiovascular disease, more precisely in coronary artery disease. This review discusses two isoforms of ST2: the membrane-bound ST2L and its soluble form, sST2.

Contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) is a common complication after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) is associated with AKI. However, the relationship between sST2 and CI-AKI is unclear.
