CMOS Exactly Solvable Chaotic Oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The design and simulation of a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) exactly solvable chaotic oscillator is presented in this work. The goal of this work is to design and simulate a high-frequency implementation of a piece-wise linear exactly ...

Universality Relations in Non-solvable Quantum Spin Chains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We prove the exact relations between the critical exponents and the susceptibility, implied by the Haldane Luttinger liquid conjecture, for a generic lattice fermionic model or a quantum spin chain with short range weak interaction.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Computing Subgroups by Exhibition in Finite Solvable Groups

open access: yes, 2002
We present practical algorithms to compute subgroups such as Hall systems, system normalizers,F -normalizers and F -covering subgroups in finite solvable groups. An application is an algorithm to calculate head complements in finite solvable groups; that

Global Solvability of a Class of Involutive Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
The authors study a class of involutive systems of real vector fields on the \(N\)-dimensional torus. It is proved that global solvability is equivalent to an algebraic condition which uses Liouville forms.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Quantum Lamb model

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
H. Lamb considered the classical dynamics of a vibrating particle embedded in an elastic medium before the development of quantum theory. Lamb was interested in how the back action of the elastic waves generated can damp the vibrations of the particle ...

On Solvability of Systems of Symbolic Polynomial Equations

open access: yesJournal of Siberian Federal University. Mathematics & Physics, 2016
Summary: Approaches to solving the systems of non-commutative polynomial equations in the form of formal power series (FPS) based on the relation with the corresponding commutative equations are developed. Every FPS is mapped to its commutative image -- power series, which is obtained under the assumption that all symbols of the alphabet denote ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

A System of Generalized Variational-Hemivariational Inequalities with Set-Valued Mappings

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
By using surjectivity theorem of pseudomonotone and coercive operators rather than the KKM theorem and fixed point theorem used in recent literatures, we obtain some conditions under which a system of generalized variational-hemivariational inequalities ...
