Reprogramming tumor cells with LCOR mRNA nanotherapy to enhance immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LCOR (Ligand‐dependent corepressor) mRNA encapsulated in polymeric nanoparticles restores LCOR activity in tumor cells, constraining aggressive tumor cell states and increasing tumor immunogenicity. This reprogramming makes tumor cells more vulnerable to T‐cell attack and enhances their response to immune‐checkpoint immunotherapy.

Fast and accurate macromolecular solvation energy and force computations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
textThis thesis reports a comprehensive study of the electrostatic solvation energy computation for macromolecules. In the molecular dynamics (MD) simulations it is important to be able to compute the free energy of the system accurately and ...

Predicting Aqueous Free Energies of Solvation as Functions of Temperature

open access: yes, 2016
This work introduces a model, solvation model 6 with temperature dependence (SM6T), to predict the temperature dependence of aqueous free energies of solvation for compounds containing H, C, and O in the range 273−373 K.

Wavelet formulation of the polarizable continuum model. II. Use of piecewise bilinear boundary elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The simplicity of dielectric continuum models has made them a standard tool in almost any Quantum Chemistry (QC) package. Despite being intuitive from a physical point of view, the actual electrostatic problem at the cavity boundary is challenging: the ...

Optimization of seminal extracellular vesicle isolation protocols for cancer biomarker analysis using proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This paper shows that size‐exclusion chromatography and sequential centrifugation applied to seminal plasma enrich for different populations of extracellular vesicles. This may significantly affect the detection and analysis of extracellular vesicle‐associated cancer biomarkers.

Hydration Thermodynamics of Non-Polar Aromatic Hydrocarbons: Comparison of Implicit and Explicit Solvation Models

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
The precise description of solute-water interactions is essential to understand the chemo-physical nature in hydration processes. Such a hydration thermodynamics for various solutes has been explored by means of explicit or implicit solvation methods ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Strongly-coordinating organoborates with eccentric solvation structure enable secondary calcium metal battery

open access: yesNature Communications
Rechargeable calcium (Ca) metal batteries are promising candidates for next-generation energy storage owing to calcium’s abundance, divalent charge and low redox potential.

On the validity of some equilibrium models for thermodiffusion

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Chimie
When applied to binary solutions, thermal gradients lead to the generation of concentration gradients and thus to inhomogeneous systems. While being known for more than 150 years, the molecular origins for this phenomenon are still debated, and there is ...
