Abstract The Snyder measure of solvent eluting strength (ϵ0) in adsorption chromatography correlates well with the molecular dipolarity polarizability (π*), hydrogen bond acidity (α), and hydrogen bond basicity (β) solvatochromic parameters. In addition, the δ correction term to π* is a minor influence but statistically significant.
