Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas in Children and Adolescents: Expert Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas (SPN) is a rare low‐grade malignant exocrine pancreatic tumor, mostly discovered during the second decade of life in females, with a very good prognosis, provided microscopically complete surgical excision is achieved.

The embryogenic potential of long-term proliferation cell lines of Larix sibirica in vitro [PDF]

open access: yesСибирский лесной журнал, 2016
The study of embryogenic potential of Larix sibirica was conducted using zygotic embryos of trees resistant to larch bud midge as explants. Immature isolated zygotic embryos and megagamethophytes of Larix sibirica were experimentally cultured on AI ...

Variability in somatic embryo-forming capacity of spinach [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
AbstractHigh variability in somatic embryo (SE)-forming capacity has previously been observed in several spinach cultivars. Such variability frequently accounted for more variation in embryogenic response of the explants than the factor being investigated.

Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Somatic embryos from Phalaenopsis classic Spotted Pink (Orchidaceae) protocorms

open access: yesCiência Rural
: The aim of the present study was to induce the formation of somatic embryos in protocorms from Phalaenopsis Classic Spotted Pink hybrids at two physiological maturation stages, namely: 80 and 120 days after seed inoculation (DASI).

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Effects of glutathione supplementation and carbon source during somatic embryogenesis of Acca sellowiana (O.Berg) Burret (Myrtaceae)

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Biological Sciences, 2018
The present study intended to investigate the effects of different glutathione (GSH) levels (0, 0.1, 0.5 and 1 mM) on the somatic embryogenesis (SE) induction of Acca sellowiana.

Cryopreservation of sugarcane somatic embryos.

open access: yesCryo letters, 2008
In this paper, we compared three vitrification-based cryopreservation techniques, viz. vitrification, encapsulation-vitrification and droplet-vitrification for cryopreserving sugarcane somatic embryos. Viability of somatic embryos was evaluated by measuring electrolyte leakage and by regrowth on recovery medium.
