Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Territorial black-capped chickadee males respond faster to high- than to low-frequency songs in experimentally elevated noise conditions [PDF]
Low-frequency urban noise can interfere with avian communication through masking. Some species are able to shift the frequency of their vocalizations upwards in noisy conditions, which may reduce the effects of masking.

Scalable cover song identification based on melody indexing [PDF]
In this work, we describe an efficient method for cover song identification focusing our target on pop and rock music genres. The procedure proposed is based on the fact that every pop/rock song has usually a main melody or a easily recognizing theme ...

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

This work develops polyacrylamide‐alginate (PAM‐Alg) double‐network hydrogel fibers for multimodal perception and intelligent human‐machine interfaces. The covalent‐ionic network provides high strength, toughness, and stable conductivity. Easily woven into wearables and integrated with soft robots, the fibers enable object and temperature recognitions ...

Telemetry reveals rapid duel-driven canary song plasticity in a competitive social environment
Singing by songbirds is a sexually selected, complex motor skill that is learned during juvenile development. In open-ended learners, adult songs are plastic, that is, birds retain the ability to change their songs.

Background The broadcast song of the Tambourine Dove (Turtur tympanistria) is a repetitive coo series produced in a very stereotyped way. The song is similar to those of the other species within the Turtur genus and likely reflects the adaptation to long

Tandem organic solar cells with optimized ternary acceptor engineering achieved a power conversion efficiency of 15.53% and enabled a high‐voltage mini‐module (Voc 6.11 V). Integration into a bias‐free PV‐EC system further demonstrated efficient solar‐to‐ammonia (STA) conversion (97% Faradaic Efficiency, 4± 2% STA efficiency), highlighting scalable ...

A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.
