Asymmetric reactions in sonochemistry

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2001
Sonochemical processes involved in asymmetric synthesis are reviewed. The goal of this overview is to provide a comprehensive picture about the fields of both enantioselective and diastereoselective reactions accelerated or initiated by ultrasounds.

Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, 23 February 2026.
Synthesis of compositionally‐complex materials is limited by immiscibility of elements. Nonequilibrium synthesis methods reviewed here use ultrafast heating and cooling to overcome this limitation, creating metastable solid solutions and high‐entropy nanomaterials.

Effect of magnetic MMP removal on long‐term dentin collagen stability

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 134, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Several matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitors have been investigated for their ability to improve dentin‐bond longevity. However, MMPs tend to reactivate over time, especially using simplified etch‐and‐rinse adhesives. This study investigated a novel magnetic removal of dentinal MMPs on bonding durability, MMP inhibition and collagen ...

Benzophenone Oxime Tosylate as the Photoacid Generator for the Friedel–Crafts Arylation of Aldehydes With Indoles

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 2, 9 January 2026.
Friedel–Crafts Arylation of Indoles: Use of an iminosulfonate derivative as the photoacid generator for the Friedel–Crafts arylation reaction between aldehydes and indoles under inert atmosphere. ABSTRACT Photochemistry enables transformations inaccessible through ground‐state pathways.

A Cross‐Disciplinary Analysis of AI Policies in Academic Peer Review

open access: yesLearned Publishing, Volume 39, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Rapid advances of artificial intelligence (AI) have substantially impacted the field of academic publishing. This study examines AI integration in peer review by analysing policies from 439 high‐ and 363 middle‐impact factor (IF) journals across disciplines. Using grounded theory, we identify patterns in AI policy adoption. Results show 83% of

Synthesis, Topological, and Biological Studies of a Novel One‐Dimensional Hg(II) Coordination Polymer With Antibacterial and Anticancer Potentials

open access: yesBioinorganic Chemistry and Applications, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
A novel one‐dimensional mercury coordination polymer (CP), identified as [(μ2‐Cl)(Ina)Hg(μ3‐Cl)Hg(μ2‐Cl)2(Ina)]n (1) (where Ina represents isonicotinic acid or 4‐pyridinecarboxylic acid), was synthesized via the interaction of isonicotinic acid with mercury(II) salt.

Direct Growth of Leopard‐Patterned Graphene on Zinc Anodes via Sonochemistry for High‐Performance Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 7, Issue 12, December 2025.
We propose a novel bottom‐up synthesis method for 2D nanocarbon films using a sonochemical deposition process at room temperature and under atmospheric pressure. This process uniformly coats a Zn foil with unique 2D nanocarbon films, termed Leopard‐patterned graphene (Leo‐G).
