Here it is revealed how ultrasonic dispersion chemically and structurally alters Pt/C catalysts depending on carbon black type. While high surface area carbons remain stable, low and medium surface area carbons undergo oxidation, increasing charge‐transfer resistance and degrading fuel cell performance.

The Quest for the Most Spherical Bubble [PDF]
We describe a recently realized experiment producing the most spherical cavitation bubbles today. The bubbles grow inside a liquid from a point-plasma generated by a nanosecond laser pulse. Unlike in previous studies, the laser is focussed by a parabolic

Sonochemical activation for BaTiO3 synthesis: A rapid and efficient route to the tetragonal phase
Abstract Barium titanate is a highly promising ferroelectric material, but its synthesis is often based on lengthy and complex processes. This paper presents the development of an ultrafast synthesis route for producing high‐purity tetragonal BaTiO3. The method combines a brief sonochemical activation (15 min) with conventional calcination. Compared to

Experiments on Sonoluminescence: Possible Nuclear and QED Aspects and Optical Applications [PDF]
Experiments aimed at testing some hypothesis about the nature of Single Bubble Sonoluminescence are discussed. A possibility to search for micro-traces of thermonuclear neutrons is analyzed, with the aid of original low-background neutron counter ...

Flow Analysis in Pathological Microvascular Models by Ultrasound Localization Microscopy
This study presents a new platform combining ultrasound localization microscopy with biomimetic gelatin phantoms to analyze flow dynamics in small vessels with narrowing or obstructions. Using microbubble tracking, the method enables high‐resolution velocity mapping in 100–500 µm channels, revealing flow changes in pathological microvascular conditions

How to Produce Green Hydrogen from Olivine and Seawater? By Ultrasound
Power ultrasound provides efficient production of green hydrogen from olivine and seawater under near‐ambient conditions. The sonochemical alteration of olivine involves particle fragmentation, the removal of the passivating layer, and local, transient heating in the vicinity of collapsing bubbles.
