Study on the effect of NaBr modification on CaO-based sorbent for CO2 capture and SO2 capture

open access: yesCarbon Capture Science & Technology, 2021
The calcium looping process has been considered as a promising technology for capturing CO2 from the flue gas, but the decay of CaO-based sorbent, which was caused by the sintering process and the poisoning of SO2, was the major obstacle for its ...

Pore Structure Effects on Ca-Based Sorbent Sulfation Capacity at Medium Temperatures: Activated Carbon as Sorbent/Catalyst Support [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Air & Waste Management Association, 2002
The reaction between three different Ca-based sorbents and SO2 were studied in a medium temperature range (473-773 K). The largest SO2 capture was found with Ca(OH)2 at 773 K, 126.31 mg SO2 x g Ca(OH)2(-1), and the influence of SO2 concentration on the sorbent utilization was observed.

Ion Capacity of Siliceous Sorbents with Surface Polymer Layers Composed of Different Dextran—Triethylenetetraamine Mixtures (Ion Capacity of Sorbents with Surface Polymer Layers)

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 1998
The formation of a polymer layer on the surface of a siliceous support employed for chromatography is one of the methods available for protecting the silica skeleton from dissolution in the mobile alkaline phase and for eliminating the negative influence of silanol groups on separated molecules. A polysaccharide-polyimine copolymer can play the role of

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron
