PEG400 regulates Falcipain 2 activity through an allosteric mechanism
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Falcipain‐2 can potentially be leveraged as a drug target due to its critical role as a haemoglobinase during the intra‐erythrocytic stage of Plasmodium falciparum. Here, we investigate the regulation of the proteolytic and haemoglobinase activity of falcipain‐2 in the presence of polyethylene glycol.

Unraveling the active site cover of coproheme decarboxylase from Listeria monocytogenes
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.During heme biosynthesis in Gram‐positive bacteria, coproheme decarboxylase (ChdC) catalyzes the conversion of four‐propionate substrate coproheme to the two propionate product heme b. Its active site is universally covered by a flexible linking loop. This study identifies an important histidine residue, which stabilizes the loop in a ChdC homolog.

Angewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 41, 5 October 2026.Solvent intercalation disrupts the stacking order of protonated porphyrin‐based 2D COF nanoparticles, resulting in a less compactly packed structure with increased accessibility of porphyrin sites. This structural modulation leads to significantly enhanced chemiresistive NO2 sensing performance.

Modern Theology, EarlyView.Abstract This article reconsiders Jacques Maritain's philosophical poetics by situating it within his longstanding debate with Maurice Blondel over the nature and unity of intellect. I argue that Maritain's influential defence of artistic autonomy, first articulated in Art et scolastique (1920), is ultimately unsound.
