Soret and dufour impacts on radiative power-law fluid flow via continuously stretchable surface with varying viscosity and thermal conductivity

open access: yesScientific Reports
The intricate dynamics of mixed convective thermic and species transport in a power-law flowing fluid through a continuously stretched surface are investigated. The uniqueness of this study lies in the consideration of fluid variable thermic conductivity

A low‐cost handheld device for monitoring cutaneous photosensitivity

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
The cutaneous photosensitivity detection (CPD) device is a handheld contact‐based measurement device using 405 nm excitation and red fluorescence detection for monitoring skin phototoxicity risk after photodynamic therapy (PDT) procedures involving systemic aminolaevulinic acid (ALA) induced protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) photosensitization.

Chemical reaction, radiative heat and mass transfer impact on unsteady MHD flow past a porous vertical plate with heat source and dissipation

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The present study examines combined heat and mass transfer in the unsteady MHD natural convection of a viscous fluid within a porous medium, taking into account thermal radiation and chemical reaction effects.

Entropy‐Stable and Energy‐Conservative Fully‐Discrete Finite Element Method for Non‐Isothermal Phase‐Field Models

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT This work presents a conforming finite‐element scheme for non‐isothermal phase‐field systems coupled to the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. The proposed numerical scheme preserves entropy production and total energy conservation exactly by variable transformations using entropy as the main variable instead of temperature.

Student–teacher relationships as a mediator of children's education‐linked genetics: results from the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Volume 67, Issue 10, Page 1729-1740, October 2026.
Background Genetic differences are robustly associated with educational outcomes, but how they become linked is poorly understood. A plausible hypothesis, yet to be thoroughly empirically tested, is that the school environment mediates the association. Methods Using structural equation models, we tested whether the student–teacher relationship at age 5

Magneto convection in a layer of nanofluid with soret effect [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Double diffusive convection in a horizontal layer of nanofluid in the presence of uniform vertical magnetic field with Soret effect is investigated for more realistic boundary conditions.

Linear stability analysis on the onset of Soret-driven motion in a nanoparticles suspension

open access: yes, 2011
The onset of Soret-driven instability in binary mixture heated from above is analysed using the linear stability theory. The horizontal fluid layer placed between two plates is in a thermally stable state but the Soret diffusion can induce buoyancy ...

Piperazine and Morpholine Protoporphyrin IX Derivatives Intensify Biomolecules Oxidation and Phototoxicity in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 17, 14 September 2026.
Protoporphyrin IX derivatives bearing piperazine or morpholine substituents exhibit enhanced cellular retention and photodynamic activity in triple‐negative breast cancer cells. Structural modification promotes oxidative stress, alters mitochondrial membrane potential, and increases caspase‐3 activity, providing new structure–activity relationship ...
