Numerical Simulation of Dufour and Soret Effects on Heat and Mass Transfer in Double-diffusive Convection in Methane Hydrate Reservoirs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics
In this paper, the behavior of methane-containing fluids in methane hydrate reservoirs is numerically simulated by investigating the transient thermal solute convection with the Dufour and Soret effects.

A study of magnetohydrodynamic flow on a channel with induced magnetic field, Soret effect and heat radiation

open access: yesZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 2023
The current study focuses on the magnetohydrodynamic flow of fluids through two vertical, insulated walls. The influences of Newtonian heating/cooling, induced magnetic field (IMF), the Soret effect, radiative heat flux, and first‐order chemical reaction

Directional Second Sphere Effect on CO2 Activation and Reduction by Iron Porphyrin in Aprotic and Protic Media

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Directional control within the secondary coordination sphere redefines CO2 reduction by iron porphyrins. Simply rearranging identical urea hydrogen‐bond donors modulates reactivity, revealing that optimal catalysis does not only arise from maximal intermediate stabilization, but also from directional, adaptive non‐covalent interactions that balance ...

Study of magnetic field dependent viscosity on a soret driven ferrothermohaline convection in a rotating porous medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2014
The effect of a magnetic field dependent viscosity on a Soret driven ferro thermohaline convection in a rotating porous medium has been investigated using the linear stability analysis. The normal mode technique is applied.

Effect of Soret and Dufour numbers on double diffusive mixed convection boundary layer flow induced by a shrinking sheet

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract The numerical study of double diffusive mixed convection boundary layer flow over a shrinking sheet are presented in the presence of Soret and Dufour effects. Shrinking velocity, wall temperature and wall concentration are assumed to have exponential function forms.

Solvent‐Induced Structural Modulation in Nanoscale Covalent Organic Frameworks Enables High‐Performance NO2 Sensing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Solvent intercalation disrupts the stacking order of protonated porphyrin‐based 2D COF nanoparticles, resulting in a less compactly packed structure with increased accessibility of porphyrin sites. This structural modulation leads to significantly enhanced chemiresistive NO2 sensing performance.
