Abstract An analysis of thermosolutal convection and entropy generation considering Soret and Dufour effects inside an inclined rectangular enclosure attached with porous wall has been investigated. The physical parameters are in the ranges such as buoyancy ratio (-10 ≤ N ≤ 10), permeability (10−9 ≤ Da ≤ 10−1) and thickness (0 ≤ d ≤ 1.0) of porous ...

Effects of Soret diffusion on spherical flame initiation and propagation
Dynamics of spherical flame initiation and propagation with Soret diffusion are investigated using large-activation-energy asymptotic analysis. Under the assumptions of constant density and quasi-steady flame propagation, a general correlation between ...

The present work demonstrates the accessibility of the Fick diffusion coefficient D11 and/or the thermal diffusivity a of the binary mixtures dicyclohexylmethane/diphenylmethane, n-hexane/carbon dioxide, 1-hexanol/carbon dioxide, and methane/propane by the analysis of the dynamics of non-equilibrium fluctuations using the shadowgraph method.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the magnetohydrodynamic mixed convection Casson fluid flow over an inclined flat plate along with the heat source/sink. The present flow problem is considered under the assumption of the chemical reaction and thermal radiation impacts along with heat and mass transport.

Abstract In this analysis, we considered the non Newtonian micropolar fluid flow with Soret and Dufour impacts at the non linear stretching cylinder. The impacts of the Bioconvection and gyrotactic microorganism is considered on the stretching cylinder.

We consider surface-tension-driven convection in a layer of a binary mixture. A linear stability problem is studied in the presence of both thermocapillary and solutocapillary effects. Assuming the Lewis and Biot numbers to be small, we develop the long wave theory and find both monotonic and oscillatory modes.
