Inoculation with Bacillus megaterium CNPMS B119 and Bacillus subtilis CNPMS B2084 improve P-acquisition and maize yield in Brazil [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Phosphorus (P) is a critical nutrient for plant growth, yet its uptake is often hindered by soil factors like clay minerals and metal oxides such as aluminum (Al), iron (Fe), and calcium (Ca), which bind P and limit its availability.

Anatomical variations along the leaf axis modulate photosynthetic responses of sorghum and maize under different water availabilities. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biol (Stuttg)
The middle part of C4 leaves is more anatomically and photochemically drought‐adapted than the apex or base. Water limitation did not negatively effect leaf anatomy and photosynthesis in sorghum, but reduced gas exchange and the thickness of leaf tissues in maize.

Daily Stress Variability in Two Generations of Survivors of the War in the Former Yugoslavia. [PDF]

open access: yesStress Health
ABSTRACT The war in the former Yugoslavia had a profound impact on millions of civilians, leaving long‐lasting psychological consequences. This study aimed to examine stress sensitivity and variability in the daily lives of survivors using a longitudinal design. First‐generation survivors (G1; n = 79), second‐generation survivors born after the war (G2;

A antracnose do sorgo [PDF]

open access: yesFitopatologia Brasileira, 2003

O estresse hídrico afeta profundamente o metabolismo celular vegetal.

The genetic architecture of phosphorus efficiency in sorghum involves pleiotropic QTL for root morphology and grain yield under low phosphorus availability in the soil

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2019
Background Phosphorus (P) fixation on aluminum (Al) and iron (Fe) oxides in soil clays restricts P availability for crops cultivated on highly weathered tropical soils, which are common in developing countries.
