Sorption of Bisphenol A as Model for Sorption Ability of Organoclays [PDF]
The arrangement of bisphenol A molecules into organoclays and their interactions with the intercalated surfactant were studied. The organoclays were prepared via solid-state intercalation of four cationic surfactants, such as dodecyltrimethyl-, tetradecyltrimethyl-, hexadecyltrimethyl-, and didodecyldimethyl-ammonium, as bromide salts, at different ...

Temperature Dependence of Sorption [PDF]
Understanding how sorption depends on temperature on a molecular basis has been made difficult by the coexistence of isotherm models, each assuming a different sorption mechanism and the routine application of planar, multilayer sorption models (such as Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and Guggenheim-Anderson-de Boer (GAB)) beyond their premises ...

Cholesterol sorption on carbon sorption materials
As an alternative to means for lowering total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the paper considers the possibility of using carbon adsorbents. From a medical point of view, the removal of cholesterol with enterosorbents is extremely effective. By binding cholesterol, sorbents reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Sorption isotherms and isosteric heats of sorption of Malaysian paddy [PDF]
Understanding the water sorption characteristics of cereal is extremely essential for optimizing the drying process and ensuring storage stability. Water relation of rough rice was studied at 20, 30, 40 and 50 °C over relative humidity (RH.) between 0.113 and 0.976 using the gravimetric technique.
