Mathematical modelling of water sorption isotherms and thermodynamic properties of Cucumis melo L. seeds

LWT - Food Science and Technology, 2020
Moisture sorption isotherms for Cucumis melo L. seeds are determined at different temperatures of 30, 40 and 60 °C with the standard gravimetric-static method. The isotherm curves exhibited a type II behavior according to BET classification.

Comparative analysis on the sorption kinetics and isotherms of fipronil on nondegradable and biodegradable microplastics

Environmental Pollution, 2019
Biodegradable plastics have been introduced and widely used as a promising alternative to traditional nondegradable plastics. However, the differences in sorption behavior of pesticides on nondegradable and biodegradable microplastics has been ...

Isohalic sorption isotherms

International Journal of Food Science and Technology, 1982
Abstract The sorption behaviour of dried salted cod (Gadus morrhua) can be predicted from the physical properties of sodium chloride solutions and the sorption characteristics of fish muscle.

Sorption Isotherm Measurements by NMR

Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, 2002
An experimental setup is described for the automated recording of sorption isotherms by NMR experiments at precisely defined levels of relative humidity (RH). Implementation is demonstrated for a cotton fabric; Bloch decays. T1 and T2* relaxation times were measured at predefined steps of increasing and decreasing relative humidities (RHs) so that a ...
