Sound intensity in diffuse sound fields
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1985The net sound intensity field in a room containing a random noise source is the vector sum of the direct field and the reverberant intensity field. If the room is diffuse, the net reverberant intensity will be zero and only the direct field will constitute a net intensity flow.

Comprehensive recommendations are presented for conducting sound field audiometry with frequency specific stimuli. These recommendations are primarily based on a series of investigations by the authors. The rationale for each recommendation is presented, together with a brief overview of the supporting research.

Learning to reproduce a sound field
2016 IEEE 26th International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing (MLSP), 2016The problem of sound field reproduction (SFR) in the case where the location and parameters of the primary source are known in advance has been well studied. In this paper, we tackle the problem of SFR when there is uncertainty about the location and radiation pattern of the primary source.

ON MINIMUM AUDIBLE SOUND FIELDS
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1933The minimum audible field (M.A.F.) has been determined from data taken on 14 ears over the frequency range from 100 to 15,000 c.p.s. The observer is placed in a sound field which is substantially that of a plane progressive wave, facing the source and listening monaurally. The M.A.F.
