Work performance in private office rooms: The effects of sound insulation and sound masking
Abstract Our purpose was to examine whether present sound insulation guidelines of private office rooms provide optimal cognitive performance and acoustic satisfaction. 32 voluntary students participated in our laboratory experiment. The experiment simulated two adjacent office rooms. Speaker was in room 1 and listener in room 2.

Interactive real-time auralization of airborne sound insulation in buildings
Sound insulation auralization can be used as valuable tool to study the perceptual aspects of sound transmission in built environments for assessment of noise effects on people. It may help to further develop guidelines for building constructions.

Influence of loudspeaker directivity on the measurement uncertainty [PDF]
One of the most significant aspects of a building’s acoustic behavior is the airborne sound insulation of the room façades, since this determines the protection of its inhabitants against environmental noise.

Sound fields near building facades: comparison of finite and semi-infinite reflectors on a rigid ground plane [PDF]
The sound field in front of, and close to a building facade is relevant to the measurement and prediction of environmental noise and sound insulation. For simplicity it is often assumed that the facade can be treated as a semi-infinite reflector, however
