Iterative Equalization and Source Decoding for Vector Quantized Sources
In this contribution an iterative (turbo) channel equalization and source decoding scheme is considered. In our investigations the source is modelled as a Gaussian-Markov source, which is compressed with the aid of vector quantization. The communications

Aggregation Driven by a Localized Source
We study aggregation driven by a localized source of monomers. The densities become stationary and have algebraic tails far away from the source. We show that in a model with mass-independent reaction rates and diffusion coefficients, the density of ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Electromagnetic source reconstruction for group studies
The aim of this paper is to describe a simple procedure for electromagnetic (EEG or MEG) source reconstruction, in the context of group studies. This entails a simple extension of existing source reconstruction techniques based upon the inversion of hierarchical models.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

GOLDEN HORDE CITIES ON THE PAGES OF MEDIEVAL ARABIC WORKS
The article considers process of fixing the names of the Golden Horde cities in medieval Arabic sources. The materials of the study were Arabic-language writings of XIII–XV centuries. As a result of the study it was noted that there was no stable name of
