Fish Sperm Subpopulations Detection, Separation, and Application: Current State and Trends
Modern advances in sperm biology highlight the necessity of recognising intra‐ejaculate heterogeneity as a central concept for advancing both the fundamental understanding of fertilisation processes and the development of artificial reproduction techniques in fishes. ABSTRACT Sperm subpopulations represent a fundamental manifestation of intra‐ejaculate

IGRF-13 model-based analysis of global long-term variation of main magnetic field
The geomagnetic field is a natural barrier to protect the Earth and maintain the stability of the Earth's environment, and is widely used in various fields as an important strategic resource.

From armadillos to sloths: Patterns and variations in xenarthran coronary anatomy
Abstract Species of the superorder Xenarthra play a vital ecological role in the Neotropics. Despite their evolutionary significance, anatomical studies on their coronary circulation remain scarce. This study investigated the coronary anatomy of 82 hearts from nine Xenarthra species across the Dasypodidae, Myrmecophagidae, and Bradypodidae.

The influence of rivers on seabird foraging ecology
ABSTRACT Rivers act as vital arteries to the world's oceans, delivering fresh water and nutrients that sustain marine ecosystems. Globally, river flow increasingly is being altered by climate change and anthropogenic pressures; yet the significance of rivers to predatory marine species, such as seabirds, and the extent to which river‐related changes ...

Searching for the beasts in the archive as methodological praxis
This article offers searching for the beasts in the archive as a methodological tool available to researchers invested in both anticolonialism and antianthropocentrism. By focusing on three basic units of reference—categories, histories, and borders—the article shows how searching for the beasts unsettles some taken‐for‐granted assumptions that ...

Forecasting Climate Change Using a Multivariate Cointegrated System
ABSTRACT A cointegrated vector equilibrium correction model of key climate variables including sea surface temperature, ocean heat content, Arctic sea‐ice extent and sea‐level change is built, driven by radiative forcing in which a stochastic trend arises due to anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases.

Abstract Initialized climate prediction systems provide forecasts on seasonal‐to‐decadal timescales, but their computational cost has motivated the development of cheaper alternatives such as analog‐based approaches. Recent studies suggest that constraining large climate model ensembles using analogs of past sea surface temperature (SST) can yield ...

Stratospheric Ozone Depletion Causes Southern Ocean Surface Cooling
Abstract Stratospheric ozone depletion strongly influences Southern Ocean climate change. Using coupled climate model simulations, we quantify the transient effect of stratospheric ozone depletion on sea surface temperature (SST) over the Southern Ocean from 1982 to 2005.
