ABSTRACT The Macaronesian endemic limpet Patella candei, also known as the ‘majorera limpet’, is an endangered species with a restricted distribution limited to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) and the Selvagens Islands (Madeira). This study assessed its current distribution and conservation status in Fuerteventura through field surveys conducted in 2022,

This work presents AQM‐HLS, a harmonized burned‐area dataset for the Pantanal covering 2014–2024. Landsat‐8/9 and Sentinel‐2 imagery were integrated into multitemporal NBR composites and classified using Random Forest. The dataset captures fire‐scar dynamics, delivering accurate 30‐m burned‐area maps suitable for long‐term monitoring and environmental ...

Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

Characterisation of Drought and Wet Events in the Paraíba do Sul River Basin—Brazil
Trend analysis identified statistically significant reductions in precipitation (at the 5% significance level) at specific pluviometric stations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, while other areas, mainly in Minas Gerais, experienced significant increases in annual and seasonal rainfall, particularly during summer and spring. These significant trends at

Abstract Numerous abandoned wells in the North Sea may provide gas, particularly methane (CH4), migration pathways by penetrating shallow, biogenic gas accumulations. However, related sampling campaigns have been largely contradictory and lack a substantial database. Research cruise MSM98 targeted the abandoned wells B18‐1, DOK 1‐X, B11‐2, THOR and D‐1

Opportunistic feeding by Antarctic krill in the eastern Weddell Gyre
Abstract Antarctic krill, Euphausia superba, is an important species in the Southern Ocean and is vulnerable to climate change. We studied the carbon sources for krill—specifically pelagic and ice‐associated (sympagic) particulate organic matter (POM), representing phytoplankton and sea‐ice algae, respectively—during March 2019 across three distinct ...
