The future of Southeast Asia’s forests [PDF]
AbstractWhile Southeast Asia’s forests play important roles in biodiversity conservation and global carbon (C) balance, the region is also a deforestation hotspot. Here, we consider the five shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs) to portray a range of plausible futures for the region’s forests, employing a state-of-the-art land change modelling procedure

A Novel OsMPK6‐OsMADS47‐PPKL1/3 Module Controls Grain Shape and Yield in Rice
OsMADS47 is identified as a key regulator governing rice grain morphology. Phosphorylation‐dependent regulation of its activity directs the development of slender versus round grains, modulating both yield and appearance. This mechanism bridges cellular signaling with transcriptional regulation, establishing a molecular framework for grain optimization.

This study identifies a novel mechanism of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cisplatin chemoresistance that DDAH1 expression is associated with cisplatin resistance in NPC cells primarily through the enhancement of the phosphoinositide Janus kinase 2 (JAK2)‐signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway.

Plantation Mapping in Southeast Asia [PDF]
Plantation mapping is important for understanding deforestation and climate change. While most existing plantation products are created manually, in this paper we study an ensemble learning based framework for automatically mapping plantations in southern Kalimantan on a yearly scale using remote sensing data.

A homogeneous and strengthened 2D/3D perovskite heterointerface is realized by idealizing the perovskite surface to eliminate atomic‐scale impurities and micro‐wrinkles. Benefiting from the reinforcement of charge transfer and lattice solidification, an all‐air‐processed carbon‐based all‐inorganic CsPbI2Br device achieves an enhanced efficiency of 15 ...

Southeast Asia exhibits an enormous diversity in types and levels of sophistication of e-government. Singapore has one of the world's best-developed systems. At the other end of this spectrum lie impoverished states such as Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, where e-government barely exists. Malaysia and Thailand occupy positions in between.

Hologenomics Reveals Specialized Dietary Adaptations in the Mengla Snail‐Eating Snake
Dietary adaptation studies from a holobiome perspective are scarce beyond mammals. This research reveals how genomic and microbial interactions drive dietary specialization in the Mengla snail‐eating snake, with evidence of gut symbiont convergence between reptiles and mammals.
