Epidemiological survey of helminths of goats in southern Punjab, Pakistan.

Molecular Genetics of Hepatozoon canis With a Note on Effect of Parasite on the Complete Blood Count Profile of Canine Hosts

A total of 654 blood samples were collected from healthy dogs in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces in Pakistan and screened for the presence of Hepatozoon canis. Genetic diversity of the detected H. canis DNA, infection‐associated risk factors, and changes in the complete blood count of the host due to parasitic activity were also evaluated.

Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae

Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.
