Epidemiological survey of helminths of goats in southern Punjab, Pakistan.
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of helminths of goats such as Fasciola hepatica, Haemonchus contortus, Paramphistomum cervi, Oesophagostomum columbian, Cotylophoron cotylophorum, Monezia expansa, Oestertagia oestertagi and Oestertagia circumcincta. A total of 654 blood samples were collected from healthy dogs in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces in Pakistan and screened for the presence of Hepatozoon canis. Genetic diversity of the detected H. canis DNA, infection‐associated risk factors, and changes in the complete blood count of the host due to parasitic activity were also evaluated.

Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae
Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.
