The presented article analyzes a series of objects, which are parts of the horse harness of the early nomads in the Southern Urals of the 4th century BC. These are arched objects (nosebands) designed to increase the efficiency of horse control.

El Niño Events Enhance Melting of Sea Ice in the West of Greenland
Abstract Using reanalysis data sets and numerical simulations, this study investigates the linkage between El Niño events and spring Arctic sea ice melt rate (AMR) in the west of Greenland. The results indicate that the accelerated spring AMR often corresponds to the previous winter's El Niño–like sea surface temperature anomalies.

This paper examines the historiography of the 1932–1933 famine and assesses the natural movement of the population in the Southern Urals (Bashkortostan Republic, and Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Orenburg Regions). It has been ascertained that the underestimation of the number of residents was relatively low.

We reconstructed the postglacial recolonization history of Eurasian perch using mitochondrial and nuclear genomic data spanning Europe and Western Siberia. The analyses revealed multiple glacial refugia and extensive secondary admixture, reflecting a dynamic history of range expansion and contact among divergent lineages.
