Investigation of diatoms of the middle course of the Ural River and analysis of literature data resulted in findings of 219 taxa with a rank below the genus, belonging to 63 genera, 29 families, 18 orders and three classes. Twenty-seven species of diatoms were found for the middle course of the Ural River for the first time.
