White dense kenyaite (Na2 Si22O41(OH)8 • 6H2 O) nodules were found by enthusiasts in dumps of exploration mines of the Rechnoe cacholong occurrence in the Adamovsky district of the Orenburg region. The nodules occurred among eroded black shales and contained small aggregates of magadiite NaSi7 O13(OH)3 • H2 O.

Chromitites of the Akkarginskiy massif (the Southern Urals)

We consider the geological features of ultramafic rock and chrome ore deposits. It is shown that all studied deposits are podiform in morphology that is typical for the ophiolite ultramafic rocks. Morphological and chemical features of the accessory and oreforming spinels are described.
