Splenic Hamartoblastoma in a Sow.
Multiple lesions of splenic hamartoblastoma were found incidentally in a 2- to 3-year-old crossbred sow. The predominant cells, characterized by extreme nuclear irregularity and hemidesmosome-like structures, were considered to be derived from reticular cells of the spleen, and demonstrated infiltrative growth.
