Abstract Background and aims Low boron (B) availability is associated with strongly weathered, coarse‐textured, and low organic matter soils, widespread in sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA). It is unknown to what extent B fertilization can increase maize yields in SSA.

Cosmetic emulsions contain complex mixtures of emulsifiers and emollients. A statistical simplex centroid experimental design, using separation velocity values from analytical centrifugation and formulation maps, facilitates the selection of emulsifiers and emollients to achieve high stability in cosmetic emulsions.
