Effect of induced mutagenesis in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr)

open access: yesXIth International Congress of Geneticists and Breeders from the Republic of Moldova, 2021
Climate change is impacting all aspects of our day-to-day existence and more profoundly the crop production system, which is very critical for the food security of any nation. It is now well recognised that crop production is very sensitive to climate change with different effects according to the region.

Evaluating optimum seeding distances from subsurface banding poultry litter in crop rotations

open access: yesAgricultural & Environmental Letters, 2022
Poultry litter is a nutrient‐dense fertilizer, but surface applications lead to nutrient losses to air, soil, and water. Objectives were to evaluate optimum subsurface‐applied poultry litter bands from crop seeding distance in a corn (Zea Mays L ...

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF VEGETABLE SOYBEAN (GLYCINE MAX L. MERR.)

open access: yesTHEORETICAL & APPLIED PROBLEMS OF AGRO-INDUSTRY, 2023
The soybean is an amazingly versatile crop, it is one of the most economically important leguminous crops, ranking first among them in the world in terms of cultivated areas. Edamame is a specialty soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) harvested as a vegetable when the seeds are immature (R6 and R7 stage) and have expanded to fill 80 to 90 percent of the ...

Utilisation of SSRs for Characterisation of the Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) Genetic Resources

open access: yesCzech Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding, 2003
The SSR profiles of 67 soybean genotypes of various origins have been detected by 188 alleles at the 18 SSR loci. From 4 to 21 alleles were found at each of these loci (average 10.4 per locus) and the gene diversity averaged 0.71.

Symbiosis‐associated UMAMIT transporters required for establishing efficient nitrogen fixation in Medicago truncatula

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary To address a critical gap in understanding amino acid transport in legume–Rhizobium symbiosis, we investigated the role of symbiosis‐associated USUALLY MULTIPLE ACIDS MOVE IN AND OUT TRANSPORTERS (UMAMITs) in Medicago truncatula nodulation.

Antioxidant Activities of Black Soybean Extract (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) and Daidzein as Hydroxyl and Nitric Oxide Scavengers

open access: yesMajalah Kedokteran Bandung, 2020
Free radicals are known as a leading factor in aging. Nitric oxide (NO) and O2•- have been shown to inhibit the synthesis of matrix components and stimulate prolidase activities involved in collagen degradation.

Natural Variation of a PPR Coding Gene SST1 Confers Salt Tolerance During Soybean Domestication

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Soil salinity is one of the constraints that adversely affect seedling growth and limit soybean yield. Identifying salt tolerance genes and profiling their allele variants are crucial for elucidating the mechanisms underlying salt tolerance in soybean and enabling the genetic improvement of salt‐tolerant cultivars.
