Golden space-time block coded modulation [PDF]
In this paper we present a block coded modulation scheme for a 2 x 2 MIMO system over slow fading channels, where the inner code is the Golden Code. The scheme is based on a set partitioning of the Golden Code using two-sided ideals whose norm is a power of two.

Improved Perfect Space-Time Block Codes [PDF]
The perfect space-time block codes (STBCs) are based on four design criteria - full-rateness, non-vanishing determinant, cubic shaping and uniform average transmitted energy per antenna per time slot. Cubic shaping and transmission at uniform average energy per antenna per time slot are important from the perspective of energy efficiency of STBCs.

Space-time block coding for spatial modulation
Space-time block coded spatial modulation (STBC-SM), which employs space-time block coding (STBC) for spatial modulation (SM), is proposed as a new multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission scheme. In the STBC-SM scheme, the transmitted information symbols are expanded not only to the space and time domains but also to the spatial (antenna ...

Capacity Analysis of Channel Inversion Using Space-Time Block Coding with Transmit Power Control
In this paper, we analyze channel inversion with transmit diversity in terms of capacity and bit error rates in correlated fading. We obtain the Shannon capacity of Rayleigh fading channel under channel inversion using spatially correlated dual branch ...

Concatenated space-time block coding with asymmetric MPSK TCM
The field of concatenated space-time block coding (inner) with trellis coded modulation (outer) has recently attracted interest as a means of jointly considering the error correction coding gain and diversity gain possible without bandwidth expansion and

On permutation of space‐time‐frequency block codings
Multi‐input multi‐output‐orthogonal frequency‐division multiplexing is the foundation of next generation of wireless communication systems and space‐time‐frequency block coding (STFBC) is considered one of the best schemes for implementing these systems. STFBCs have very complex structures and many parameters affect their performance.

In the VLC context, pulse position modulation (PPM) and similar modulations are typically used when the overall complexity of the transmitter is required to be low or the system needs to support dimming, i.e., dynamically control the illumination level ...

Block turbo codes for space-time systems
Advances in the field of information theory have shown that wireless systems using multiple transmitters and multiple receivers can significantly improve the spectral efficiency. Systems using transmit and receive diversity associated with coding such as space time trellis codes have since been developed.
