Block turbo codes for space-time systems
Advances in the field of information theory have shown that wireless systems using multiple transmitters and multiple receivers can significantly improve the spectral efficiency. Systems using transmit and receive diversity associated with coding such as space time trellis codes have since been developed.

In the VLC context, pulse position modulation (PPM) and similar modulations are typically used when the overall complexity of the transmitter is required to be low or the system needs to support dimming, i.e., dynamically control the illumination level ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Quasi-Orthogonal Space-Time Block Coding Using Polynomial Phase Modulation [PDF]
Recently, polynomial phase modulation (PPM) was shown to be a power- and bandwidth-efficient modulation format. These two characteristics are in high demand nowadays specially in mobile applications, where devices with size, weight, and power (SWaP ...

Coding advantage optimization of space-time-frequency block codes [PDF]
In this article, we study the coding advantage of space-time-frequency block codes (STFBCs). Since in MIMO-OFDM coding there is the potential of exploiting space, time and frequency diversities and as the frequency tones of OFDM modulation are relatively substantial, the intricate structure of STFBCs makes it almost impossible to optimize the ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
