Algebraic Distributed Differential Space-Time Codes with Low Decoding Complexity

open access: yes, 2007
The differential encoding/decoding setup introduced by Kiran et al, Oggier-Hassibi and Jing-Jafarkhani for wireless relay networks that use codebooks consisting of unitary matrices is extended to allow codebooks consisting of scaled unitary matrices. For

Cooperative differential space-time spreading for the asynchronous relay aided CDMA uplink using interference rejection spreading code [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
—This letter proposes a differential Space–Time Coding (STC) scheme designed for asynchronous cooperative networks, where neither channel estimation nor symbol-level synchroniza-tion is required at the cooperating nodes.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Spatial Block Codes Based on Unitary Transformations Derived from Orthonormal Polynomial Sets

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2002
Recent work in the development of diversity transformations for wireless systems has produced a theoretical framework for space-time block codes. Such codes are beneficial in that they may be easily concatenated with interleaved trellis codes and yet ...

Space Frequency Codes from Spherical Codes

open access: yes, 2005
A new design method for high rate, fully diverse ('spherical') space frequency codes for MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed, which works for arbitrary numbers of antennas and subcarriers.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

An Enumeration of the Equivalence Classes of Self-Dual Matrix Codes

open access: yes, 2015
As a result of their applications in network coding, space-time coding, and coding for criss-cross errors, matrix codes have garnered significant attention; in various contexts, these codes have also been termed rank-metric codes, space-time codes over ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Code diversity in multiple antenna wireless communication

open access: yes, 2008
The standard approach to the design of individual space-time codes is based on optimizing diversity and coding gains. This geometric approach leads to remarkable examples, such as perfect space-time block codes, for which the complexity of Maximum ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
