MULTIPATH FADING EFFECTS ON UNCODED AND CODED MULTIPLE FREQUENCY SHIFT KEYING PERFORMANCE IN MOBILE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2019
This paper presents an analysis of multipath fading channel effects on the performance of multiple frequency shift keying (MFSK) modulation that is used in mobile wireless communications.

Successive-relaying-aided decode-and-forward coherent versus noncoherent cooperative multicarrier space–time shift keying

open access: yes, 2013
—Successive-relaying-aided (SR) cooperative multi-carrier (MC) space–time shift keying (STSK) is proposed for frequency-selective channels. We invoke SR to mitigate the typical 50% throughput loss of conventional half-duplex relaying schemes and MC code ...

Multi-Set Space-Time Shift Keying Assisted Adaptive Inter-Layer FEC for Wireless Video Streaming

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The scalable video coding extension of H.265/high efficiency video coding is capable of supporting diverse video resolutions. Due to the fact that the enhancement layer (EL) is encoded and decoded with the aid of the base layer (BL), the decodability of ...

Radio Over Fiber Downlink Design for Spatial Modulation and Multi-Set Space-Time Shift-Keying

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Spatial modulation (SM) and multi-set space-time shift-keying (MS-STSK) are capable of striking a flexible design trade-off between the multiplexing and diversity gains attained.

Space-time coded systems with continuous phase frequency shift keying [PDF]

open access: yesGLOBECOM '05. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2005., 2005
A space-time (ST) trellis encoded scheme with M-ary continuous phase frequency shift keying with a modulation index of 1/M (M-CPFSK) is presented. A ST-M-CPFSK system model that incorporates the Rimoldi decomposition of CPFSK is developed. The Rimoldi decomposition separates the non-memory component of CPFSK from the memory component. The latter can be

KOMBINASI ORTHOGONAL SPACE TIME BLOCK CODING DAN BLOCK CHANNEL CODING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KINERJA SISTEM ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING

open access: yesTeknologi dan Kejuruan, 2012
It is well known that space-time diversity using space-time coding (STC) is an effective technique to improve wireless communication performance. STC was designed for flat fading channel and consist of space-time trellis code (STTC) and space-time block ...

Adaptive $2\times2$ MIMO Employed Wavelet-OFDM-Radio Over Fibre Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Due to high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) and low spectral-efficiency, the conventional Fast Fourier Transform based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is losing its place to the other multicarrier modulation schemes.

A novel space-time shift keying and its reduced complexity detector [PDF]

open access: yes2012 8th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2012
This paper proposes a space-time shift keying (STSK) modulation scheme, which maps the information onto two dimensions, i.e., the temporal and spatial dimensions. For the proposed modulation, a detector with reduced complexity is also proposed. The complexity of proposed detector is reduced with the slight degradation of performance.

New super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes using differential M-PSK for noncoherent mobile communication systems with two transmit antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we develop super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes (SOSTTCs) using differential binary phase-shift keying, quadriphase-shift keying and eight-phase shift keying for noncoherent communication systems with two transmit antennas without ...
