Space-Vector Modulated Multilevel Matrix Converter
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2010A matrix converter is an ac-ac power converter topology that has received extensive research attention as an alternative to traditional ac-dc-ac converter. A matrix converter is able to convert energy from an ac source to an ac load without the need of a bulky and limited-lifetime energy-storage elements.

Inverter Control with Space Vector Modulation
2008Figure 2.1 shows the principle circuit of an inverter fed 3-phase AC motor with three phase windings u, v and w. The three phase voltages are applied by three pairs of semiconductor switches v u+/v u−, v v+/v v- and v w+/v w− with amplitude, frequency and phase angle defined by microcontroller calculated pulse patterns.

Discrete Space Vector Modulation Applied on a PMSM Motor
2006 12th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2006The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) are extensively used in high-performance industrial applications. The electromagnetic torque in a PMSM is proportional to the angle between the stator and rotor flux linkages. Therefore, high dynamic response can be achieved by means of Direct Torque Control (DTC).

An Algorithmic Approach To Space Vector Modulation For Multiphase Inverters
2009 Twenty-Fourth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2009Since late 1990s multiphase drives have become a serious alternative to three-phase drives in some particular applications such as electric ship propulsion, locomotive traction, electric vehicles and high power industrial applications. Nowadays the research activity is focused on the development of control strategies that can exploit the degrees of ...

Discontinuous space vector modulation technique for motor supply
2011 IEEE EUROCON - International Conference on Computer as a Tool, 2011The paper presents a simulation study of a space vector modulation inverter that supplies an alternating current motor drive with low switching losses. A new technique of the reduced number of switchings within the modulating interval is proposed. Simulation results are based on the theoretical explanation.

A Space Vector Modulation Approach for a Multimodule HVDC Converter System
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2007This paper presents the application of a space vector modulation (SVM) strategy for a multimodule converter system that 1) enables low switching frequency, 2) eliminates/minimizes ac-side voltage harmonics, particularly low-order harmonics, and 3) provides maximum ac-side fundamental voltage component. The SVM strategy is based on a sequential sampling

Space Vector Modulated Matrix Type Rectifier
2019 IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems (ICSETS), 2019In this paper, space vector modulated isolated matrix type three phase AC/DC converter has been investigated. The topology is derived from matrix rectifier by adding a high frequency transformer. Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is the most commonly used modulation method for matrix rectifier.
