Trapping-detrapping fluctuations in organic space-charge layers
A trapping-detrapping model is proposed for explaining the current fluctuation behavior in organic semiconductors (polyacenes) operating under current-injection conditions.

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

Electrical tree structures generated by the ab-initio discharge-avalanche model [PDF]
Initially the discharge-avalanche model for electrical tree formation treated the local Poisson fields as being derived from the applied Laplace field via a modification factor that was regarded as a random variable in time and space.

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Flat Bunches with a Hollow Distribution for Space Charge Mitigation
Longitudinally hollow bunches provide one means to mitigate the impact of transverse space charge. The hollow distributions are created via dipolar parametric excitation during acceleration in CERN's Proton Synchrotron Booster. We present simulation work

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Ionic Space Charge Driven Organic Photovoltaic Devices
Most all-organic solar cells rely on undoped electron donor–acceptor heterojunctions. Power-conversion efficiencies depend critically on the photoinduced charge generation at these interfaces such as the charge transport through the layers and ...
