Space charge accumulation in polymeric DC mini-cables
2013 IEEE International Conference on Solid Dielectrics (ICSD), 2013Polymeric cables operating under high voltage direct current (HVDC), suffer from space charge accumulation and may exhibit a relatively low depletion rate of accumulated charges when the external field is removed. Increasing the reliability of polymeric dc cables is of crucial importance.

Space charge accumulation on multilayer graphene/epoxy nanocomposites
2013 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2013Nanocomposite materials are nowadays widely studied. It is often desired, by the addition of nanoparticles in an insulating matrix, to improve electrical and thermal properties. However, few types of nanoparticles enable improvement of combined electrical and thermal properties.

Approximations for accumulation and inversion space-charge layers in semiconductors
Solid-State Electronics, 1968Abstract The solution of Poisson's equation for heavily accumulated or inverted space-charge regions in semiconductors is discussed. Closed form solutions are obtained for such regions. These solutions make it possible to obtain good approximations to potential and carrier density variations with distance in semiconductor surface space-charge layers.

The dynamics of space-charge accumulation in irradiated MOS capacitors
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1982An investigation into the radiation-induced charging of MOS capacitors using numerical simulation is reported. The results indicate that the high mobility of electrons in SiO2 films prevents accurate simulations from being carried out even for moderately short exposure times. This is so because of the small integrating time step (

Decreasing space charge accumulation in polyethylene with an inorganic filler
Journal of Electrostatics, 1997Abstract The applicability of polyethylene polymerized using a metallocene catalyst as an insulation material for DC XLPE cables has been investigated. The space charge distribution was examined using the pulsed electroacoustic technique over a temperature range from room temperature to 90°C.

Numerical modelling of space-charge accumulation in gaseous detectors
Journal of InstrumentationAbstract Accumulation of space-charge in gaseous ionization detectors is a well-known phenomenon. Various signatures of its effects are observed experimentally in all sorts of gaseous detectors, starting from wire chambers, RPCs to MPGDs.

Effect of modification of copper electrode on the space charge accumulation in LDPE
Modern Physics Letters B, 2019In this paper, titanium and tungsten films were coated on copper sheets, respectively, by plasma chemical vapor deposition (PCVD). The copper sheets before and after coating were, respectively, injected as charge into the low-density polyethylene (LDPE), the space charge accumulation in LDPE was tested by the thermally stimulated current (TSC), and the

Space charge accumulation in two power cable grades of XLPE
IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 1998The accumulation of space charge in XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene), cross-linked using DCP (dicumyl peroxide) or a silane-based grafting process, was studied via the LIPP (laser-induced-pressure-pulse) technique. Planar samples 0.5 mm thick were obtained from the XLPE insulation of power distribution cables.

Space charge accumulation properties in XLPE with Carbon nano-filler
2012 IEEE International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis, 2012The space charge accumulation properties under dc high stress at various temperatures were investigated in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and XLPE/Carbon composite. We have reported, earlier, that low density polyethylene (LDPE) including inorganic nano-size filler shows a good performance without accumulation of space charge even under very high dc ...

The temperature dependence of space charge accumulation in cross-linked polyethylene
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1997Abstract This paper presents the results of laser-induced-pressure-pulse (LIPP) measurements of space charge accumulation in 0.5 mm thick planar XLPE samples with aluminium electrodes, over the temperature range 30–90°C. The applied field strength was 10 kV mm−1.
