Space charge accumulation on multilayer graphene/epoxy nanocomposites

2013 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2013
Nanocomposite materials are nowadays widely studied. It is often desired, by the addition of nanoparticles in an insulating matrix, to improve electrical and thermal properties. However, few types of nanoparticles enable improvement of combined electrical and thermal properties.

Space charge accumulation in dielectrics irradiated with light charged particles

[1991 Proceedings] 7th International Symposium on Electrets (ISE 7), 2002
Accumulation of space charges in various solid dielectrics differing considerably by structure and physical properties as a result of irradiation by protons, deuterons, /sup 3//sub 2/He ions, and alpha -particles with 0.5 to 10 MeV per nucleon energy range and beam currents 10/sup -9/-5*10/sup -8/ A/cm/sup 2/ has been investigated.

Space charge accumulation in epoxy resin and polyethylene

2012 IEEE 10th International Conference on the Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials, 2012
Accumulation of space charge within a polymeric dielectric material, especially under dc voltage, is associated with its degradation. Space charge accumulation modifies the local field within the material and might contribute to its aging. Further, it would modify the conduction through the material.

Space charge accumulation in power cable XLPE insulation

IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 1999
The accumulation of space charge in the crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation of a power cable sample under dc stress was investigated. The sample was held at 82/spl deg/C and atmospheric pressure, and at 82/spl deg/C and 0.1 Pa, for periods up to several days.

Measurement of space charge accumulation in PPLP

Proceedings of 1999 IEEE 13th International Conference on Dielectric Liquids (ICDL'99) (Cat. No.99CH36213), 2003
The author tested space charge accumulation in the oil impregnated insulation paper for DC oil-filled cables, and found that polypropylene shows no resistivity reduction with time whereas kraft paper in polypropylene laminated paper (PPLP) does show some reduction.

Space Charge Accumulation and Micro-Structure of Cross-linked Polyethylene

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
In this paper, laser induced pressure pulse (LIPP) method and electrostatic force microscopy (EFM) method are utilized to investigate the distribution of space charge in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), and the action on the groups of XLPE by the accumulative charge are investigated by infrared spectroscopy (IR) method.

The effect of humidity on space charge accumulation in XLPE

2003 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2004
This paper investigates the effect of different humidity concentration in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material, cut from HV cables, on space charge accumulation, through space charge measurements performed by the pulsed electroacoustic technique.

Space charge accumulation properties in XLPE with Carbon nano-filler

2012 IEEE International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis, 2012
The space charge accumulation properties under dc high stress at various temperatures were investigated in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and XLPE/Carbon composite. We have reported, earlier, that low density polyethylene (LDPE) including inorganic nano-size filler shows a good performance without accumulation of space charge even under very high dc ...

Space charge accumulation and conductivity of crosslinking byproducts soaked LDPE

2010 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectic Phenomena, 2010
The crosslinking byproducts have significant influences on the electrical performance of the Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE). In this paper, the effects of acetophenone, α-methylstyrene and cumyl alcohol on space charge formation and conductivity values have been investigated. The space charge measurement was conducted using Pulse Electroacoustic (PEA)

Studies on Space Charge Accumulation Properties in Dielectric Materials

2019 2nd International Conference on Electrical Materials and Power Equipment (ICEMPE), 2019
With the development of HVDC Light project since 1990's, it is necessary to construct the large scale electric power grid with reliable DC insulation system, connecting wind farms to power grid, underground power links, connecting asynchronous grids, etc. Therefore, it is important to propose advanced detection technique under DC high electrical stress,
