Orthodontic Space Closure

Dental Clinics of North America, 1981
We have attempted in this chapter to familiarize the clinician with the management of spaces in the dentition. Understanding the etiology of the spaces will not only aid in the formulation of a proper treatment plan but also help in predicting the stability of the treatment results.

Extensions of Closure Spaces

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1977
Extension theory has been intensively studied for completely regular spaces and is fairly well developed for T0-topological spaces. (See, for example, [1] and [5]). However, except for definitions of some of the basic concepts in [4] and results on embedding of closure spaces in cubes in [2] and [7], ours is the first study of the general theory of ...

Asymmetric space closure

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1986
In a vertically slotted 0.022 X 0.028 inch edgewise system, the use of a two-dimensional ribbon arch--0.022 X 0.016 inch from lateral incisor to lateral incisor and 0.016 X 0.022 inch from the canine to the molars--plus an uprighting spring on the canine maintained incisor position while unilaterally protracting a molar-premolar unit by means of ...

The R-completion of closure spaces

Topology and its Applications, 2022
Given a full subcategory \(\mathbf{R}\) of the category \(\mathbf{CL_0}\) of \(T_0\)-closure spaces and continuous maps, satisfying four necessary conditions, the authors construct an \(R\)-completion for closure spaces. This completion is a reflection into the category \(\mathbf{R}\). This general construction is applicable to several known situations.

Merotopic Spaces and Extensions of Closure Spaces

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1983
Proximity spaces and contiguity spaces, and more recently nearness spaces, have been studied not just because they provide various approaches to uniform structure. Possibly of greater importance is that they can be used as a means of introducing compactifications and more general extensions of the topological spaces on which they are defined. Riesz [20]

Space-efficient closure representations

Proceedings of the 1994 ACM conference on LISP and functional programming - LFP '94, 1994
Many modern compilers implement function calls (or returns) in two steps: first, a closure environment is properly installed to provide access for free variables in the target program fragment; second, the control is transferred to the target by a “jump with arguments (or results)”. Closure conversion

Disjunctions in closure spaces

Studia Logica, 1985
This paper is the continuation of the author's investigations on closure spaces [Stud. Logica 43, 341-351 (1984; Zbl 0587.03046)]. The main result presented in the paper gives a characterization of closure spaces with \(\)-regular bases in terms of Q-embeddings preserving disjunctions.

Stability of extraction space closure

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2016
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the prevalence and long-term behavior of extraction space reopening in patients with Class I malocclusion and to identify some associated factors.A sample of 43 patients met the inclusion criteria. Dental casts at the onset of treatment, after treatment, and 1 and 5 years after debonding were used.
